Terms & Conditions
The following information is important in relation to your booking as it forms the basis of your contract with KGcuisinechâtel, so make sure to read it carefully. It is advised that you have adequate travel insurance that covers you for any unforeseen circumstances that are in no relation to your booking with us.
1. MAKING A BOOKING
To make a booking with KGcuisinechâtel, please make contact via the contact form or using the email address provided. The dates of your booking request will be reserved for you for one week until you can confirm the booking. The booking will be officially confirmed to you in writing (by email) upon receipt of a 15% deposit. The deposit can be paid by bank transfer or by a "sum up" payment link. If this deposit is not received within this week, the dates will no longer be reserved for you. Please note this deposit is non-refundable. The remainder of your balance will be paid after your final meal by cash, card or bank transfer. Receipts and/or invoices can be given to you upon request.
It is your responsibility to inform your chalet manager/owner that you have hired outside catering. If you fail to do this, we cannot be held responsible for any cancellations made as a result of this. You must also provide us contact information so that we can gain access to the chalet during your booking. We will bring in all the food and necessary equipment in order to prepare your food. Your meals will then be prepared using the chalet facilities.
2. CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING
If you need to make any changes to your booking, please make contact in writing as soon as possible. While it is not guaranteed that such requests are able to be met, we will do our best to accommodate them. However, additional fees may be incurred.
Occasionally ingredients may become unavailable. Under these circumstances the menu may need to be altered and any major changes made to the menu will be discussed with the party leader.
If you need to cancel your booking, your 15% deposit will not be refunded but it may be covered by your travel insurance. If we need to cancel your booking, we will inform you as soon as possible and a full refund of any payments received will be made to you.
Cancellations made within 4-weeks prior to your booking. Cancellation with more than 3-weeks prior to your booking a full refund will be made (excluding the 15% non-refundable deposit). Cancellations made within 2-weeks prior to your booking date are non-refundable. Please consult your holiday insurance in relation to any non-refundable amounts.
Any food allergies are taken very seriously. You must provide any information concerning allergies or dietary requirements when making your initial booking so we are able to meet your needs.
5. OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
It is our responsibility to respect and meet all parts of our contract with you. We cannot accept liability if we have not been informed of something by you that we should have known when you made your booking. On the last day of your booking, all food, rubbish and equipment brought in by us will be removed from the premises. The kitchen and dining area will also be cleaned to the conditions it was found, if not cleaner. Any unlikely breakages made by us to will be replaced or paid for by us. Any breakages made by you to any of our equipment will be included in your final bill. Any breakages made by you to anything belonging to the chalet will be subject to the agreement made by you with the chalet owner/manager.
6. BOOKINGS OF LESS THAN A WEEK
Any bookings made with KGCusineChatel that are less than a week (less than 5 days in chalet service) must be paid in full at the time of making your booking. This payment must be paid and cleared in order for your booking to be confirmed.
7. BOOKINGS OF A FULL WEEK
The final payment of bookings made with KGCuisineChatel that are of a full week (5 days or more in chalet service) must be paid and cleared 4-weeks proir to your booking start dates.
COVID-19 FLEXIBLE BOOKING
A 15% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your dates and make a booking.
If you need to cancel your booking for reasons related to COVID-19 your deposit is non-refundable but can be used to secure a booking on a later date.
As a small business we are unable to be held liable or responsible if:
You cancel your booking and decide not to travel due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
You or a member of your party are tested positive for COVID-19 prior to your booking and therefore are unable to travel.
As you are choosing to book a holiday under the current circumstances that surround COVID-19, it is advised that you ensure that your travel insurance will cover you if you are unable to travel due to COVID-19 restrictions.
If we need to cancel your booking for any reason, we will inform you as soon as possible and a full refund of any payments received will be made to you.
